So, my best friend is signing up for the army reserves.
I don't really know what they do, but I know I don't like it. I'm happy for him that he feels like he can make such a serious decision and commit to something like that in his life, but I hate that he'll be gone.
I've known this dude since I was born (er, he was born I guess) and we've always been better than brothers our whole lives. This is the one guy who I feel would always have my back in every single situation that ever came up. He went to school last year, which was our first big time apart in my whole life. I miss him alot, but hes only an hour away so I can go visit him any time, and he comes home a lot.
I know in this army thing I'll rarely ever get to see him and it sucks. That, and now I'm gonna be worried about him getting shot in some stupid war.
I know he'd support me if I wanted to, so I have to be there for him now...but fuck man, I got that lump in my throat feeling. I'm really gonna miss that guy.
