Hey all, I've been on the shroomery for while now and this is my first post over here, so bear with me. I'm starting a setup with a 90w led ufo. I was reading in the cult guide that you can grow a plant out in containers of verm submerged in a tray with your nutrient formula. I'm curious to know if what this is a good idea, or whether it might be antiquated information like sometimes u run into in the cult guides at the shroomery. I've got most of the ancillary equipment already. Any help is appreciated.

Are you talking about doing a soil-less grow with perlite as your medium.

If that is a an advisable option, yeah, I've got the perlite to do it that way. The grow guide here : http://www.growery.org/2796/Cannabis-growing-guide says you can do the whole thing in vermiculite. I have a couple of bag seeds germinating in verm right now, I'm just kinda using those as a test.

Oh it's a viable option. Not my preferred way to grow but I have seen great results from it. I believe they were calling it Hempy Buckets.
