grow tent lighting and ventilations concerns?

Im looking into buying a grow tent that is 62x20x36. As of right now I have a 150w hps. I cant afford to buy multiple lights, but I wouldnt mind trading mine in and possibly upgrading. Any suggestions on lighting? Also I cannot connect my tent straight to my ac. How can I keep it cool? I have grown in a closet before and have had a hard enough time keeping that cool, I can't imagine how hot its gonna get in a contained area. Any ideas or suggestions? I plan to do one plant at a time in here from seed.

get an exhaust fan and charcoal filter with a speed control for the fan, draw the warm air out and filter it at the same time. most good tents have intake and exhaust ports. the filter\fan can be bought as a kit to save a few dollars.

I actually replaced my light today with a 400w. So now its gonna be a 400w in a 36x20x62. Will an intake fan keep it cool enough you think. My house stays around 75 with the ac running. Im afraid it will get in the 80's or should the intake take care of this? Also would you suggest bigger then a 4 inch intake? I figured I would get that size cause thats how big the vents are on the tent. Also do I need anything to actually suck air out of my tent or will it draw the air out on its own if I have the intake? Thanks

You should focus on the exhaust, at this point. No need to worry about intake, the exhaust fan will handle that for you.
You will want to invest in a inline fan filter combo, at around 160 cfm or greater.
Some thing else to think on is an air cooled hood, it will help a great deal in controlling temps, and allowing you to keep your light closer to the plants.

I was considering an intake cause I thought maybe I could draw air from my window at night to keep it cool. If I get an exhaust should I buy a small duct and run it to a better ventilated area (besides my closet) for it to pull fresh air in? And will it automatically draw new air in since I have an exhaust? Btw does this one look good for what I need and would I need to buy any additional ducting to hook it up or does it connec directly to my tent. Thanks for helpin http://www.amazon.com/Hydropronic-Inline-Carbon-Filter-Control/dp/B002ZJNW1S/ref=sr_1_4?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1326840937&sr=1-4

This is what I bought from ebay! It's a New MTN Hydroponics 6" Inline Duct Tube Exhaust Fan Carbon Filter Kit 440CFM. Thing works awesome! And with the tent closed it makes a negative air pressure so the tent pulls fresh air in from the bottom all by itself. No need for in intake fan. I just ran the exhaust ducting to another area.

Currently my bedroom is 75 degrees and in my closet with my new 400w light its 82 degrees. I dont have an exhaust just an aired out closet with a strong fan blowing air into the room. Do you think using an exhaust in the tent I bought (not a huge tent) will be plenty to keep it cool? Or do you think it will be even hotter then it is now without an exhaust and tent?

i have almost the same thing just different manufacturer this fan filter setup is great, you need this. It will keep it plenty cool enough and you can filter the smell I have a speed control also to control the speed of the fan so i can adjust it in warmer and cooler months, the hotter it gets the faster the fan runs when it gets cold just slow the speed down. beside the light this is the best investment you can buy for your garden.

Just bought this exact thing. Hope its good! What you guys think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-14-CARBON-AIR-FILTER-VALUE-COMBO-4-INCH-INLINE-FAN-EXHAUST-F016-/270853147454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f101b0b3e#ht_6727wt_1165
BTW do you guys suggest turning off my inline during my night cycle, or is that a bad idea since the grow is in an enclosed space and wont have fresh air being pulled in?
