That's a pretty cool book, I never got around to watching the movie. I was fairly young when I read it too, should probably give it another go.

It's definitely worth it. I recommend watching the movie after you read it and comparing the two. It's a great movie but IMO doesn't hold a candle to the book.

I didn't realize the obviousness of what I was saying. Nonetheless, it's a good movie and a great book. Sometimes a movie can be better than the original. For example, I prefer the movie version of The Mist; Neither are particularly good though.

But with One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest, the movie was so far away from the book, they basically made the indian chief a secondary character when he's the one telling the story, we get to read his thoughts and we get to see actually why he's in an asylium, the book is so much better than the movie!

Yes, the entire machinery feel to the story is lost and Nurse Ratched becomes the bad guy instead of "The Combine". You lose a lot in the first 10 minutes of the film.

Nurse Ratched's tits were too small for the character in the movie, but she got the coldness down pretty well. Amazingly beautiful book, always my first to recommend.
