Well they certainly know there is a percentage of stoned people buying these books.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

IF you want a book on psychedelic mushrooms you would want to buy one specifically for that. Mushrooms Demystified will def. help you trait them out and identify what you find. But he isn't advocating for them specifically in these books. He is a general mycologist, not a psychonaut.

Hmmm....he is a bit loopy and out there, as most scientific types can be, but is really not that into the psychedelic aspect of mycology.

yeah, what HA said. Paul Stamets is MUCH more into the actives than any other mycologist i know of. Hell, he was at the MAPS conference last month. I remember a talk he gave where he said that all his friends paid for their college education by growing mushrooms in their closets. I actually don't have any books that are directly and only related to active mushrooms. Nor can i think of any off the top of my head. But i can name a bunch of books that contain sections on active mushrooms.

Judging a book by it's cover, the cover says to me: Dude is very knowledgeable in Myco and Muzak. He is already tripping balls on the actives he found, got hungry and used his knowledge to satiate his physical appetite with a a stash of edibles and in doing so got his pic taken looking much like a leprechaun running away with his pot of gold. Anyway... that's just my quick take...
