So, after about 7 months of working in a shitty diesel engine related job (I love the subject matter, just not the atmosphere and the general distaste for the job amongst my peers, and the fact that I went to engineering school for half a decade to sit at a desk and write reports that a some dude/chick out of highschool could write) I have finally landed a job interview in a CITY
Up until now I've been living in this town an hour from everything, growing a little, smoking a lot...and now I have this job opportunity that does not offer a great pay increase (about 3% over my current salary) but would be withing 20 minutes of a really nice city with plenty of nice apartments and what not all within walking distance. Additionally, this job would be doing R&D work for industrial LED lighting solutions right up my alley ^_^.
Idk why I started this post other than to tell some people whats going on in my life, and it makes me feel better about the fact that recently my brand new turbo-diesel commuter vehicle had its main oil feed line to the turbocharger rupture, puking about a gallon of oil in under 30 seconds...bleh
Oh well, life is balance of good times and bad times...and I guess this thread is about focusing on the good times ^_^
Peace, agmotes165

Nice work man, good luck on the interview! The first 21 years of my life i lived in a town of 12,000 people. then moved to phoenix to be on my own. then to albuquerque, and now to sacramento. Location is key to happiness. I don't have any desire to live in abq or phx again. However, sacramento is fucking awesome. I hope you get the job and find a place that's right for you.
