--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________________________________________________________
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WE LIVE IN EVOLUTIONARY TIMES WHEN MYTHOLOGY AND REALITY ARE MERGING BEFORE OUR EYES.
AS OUR EARTH, MOON AND SUN ALIGN THIS MAY, WE WILL GATHER TOGETHER ON NATIVE AMERICAN LAND TO ALIGN OUR INTENTIONS ON AWAKENING AND HEALING OURSELVES AND OUR WORLD.
IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON, WE WILL EMBRACE OUR SHADOW SIDE WHILE WE CELEBRATE THE RADIANCE OF OUR COLLECTIVE SOUL.
ANCIENT PROPHECIES HAVE LONG PREDICTED THAT THE TIME WOULD COME WHEN WE WOULD ALL AWAKEN TO OUR DIVINE BIRTHRIGHT AND A NEW REALITY WOULD EMERGE.
THIS IS THAT TIME.
THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION
We believe in the healing, transformative potential of intentional gatherings. We have dedicated our lives to facilitating these opportunities for collective evolution. This eclipse is the culmination of all we have learned along the way.
From the dark side of the moon, we are called to gather, to bring the unique gifts we have each been cultivating in order to enter together into this time of reckoning. Within this great shadow of the eclipse we have the opportunity to engage with our own shadows: personal, ancestral and cultural, and work together to transform these challenges into the blessings of a new day.
THIS IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER FESTIVAL
In fact, our intention is for this to be a time when we get to taste the village life we all feel missing from our lives, sharing food, song, prayer, dance, art, performance and the day-to-day beauty of being alive.
Focused around a central elemental altar, where offerings and ceremonies will occur throughout the gathering, there is a sacred container being collectively created and held, in collaboration with the Native peoples who have honored us with the use of their land.
Every facet of this gathering is an opportunity for the work, whether it be on dancefloor, in the skill shares, gathering in ritual or connecting with the land and each other.
We do not know exactly what these times hold, but we do know that when we enter this moment together, with real intentions for global healing and awakening, we can participate in these cosmic cycles in the best possible way,
AND WE CAN NOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU

Indeed!...I'm already getting stoked for it, festival season is only 41/2 months away...
Symbiosis Emissions Raindance Bounce Filth of July Stilldream Memories Alchemy Gemini
Those are just a few that are going down around northern California alone, there are many more than that though...My #1 priority as far as festivals go is Symbiosis. Everyone that I have talked to that has been to a lot of festivals & gatherings said that Symbiosis in 2009 (last year they held it) was one of the most amazing and epic things they've ever experienced.
Emissions is the other festival I would like to make it to, I've been to Emissions the past 3 years and would hate to miss it this time around. I plan on volunteering for free/discounted entry as much as possible, if it works out I will be able to attend a few more through out the festi-season.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

so, what do you think about the change in location OM? I read the thread on the shroomery and you really talked up the old location of the festival. I talked to a lot of my crew this past weekend and we are all down to go to this. i may volunteer.

From what I understand, the location for Symbiosis has changed every year. The location Symbiosis went down at in 2007 is my favorite spot, it's a big meadow atop a ridge east of Angels Camp way up in the cuts. I have been to that spot several times at a few different shin digs. The location it was held in 2009 I am not too familiar with actually, they say it was held in Yosemite but I think the location was just a little outside the park boundary on the western edge. From what I have seen and heard from people, it looked like a great area, no doubt.
I have never been to Pyramid Lake, where it is going down this year. But that entire area has a weird vibe to it, and I mean that in a good way.
Every single festi/gathering I've been to has been in the mountains, in the middle of a forest or in a meadow. So being in a completely different landscape will be interesting, and the land out there is otherworldly, really trippy...
If I can get on board with volunteering, then I am most definitely going. If it comes down to a ride I will just try to hitch a ride with someone coming through the area. Symbiosis is said to be one of the most epic festi/gatherings in north America, next to Burning Man. Those that I have talked to that have been to both symbiosis and BM say that it's a similar vibe, obviously minus the "gifting economy", "no $$$" aspect, "radical self reliance", and several tens of thousands of people.
But yea man, that would be cool if you ended up going, I can pretty much guarantee you will have a good time.

Have you filled out the volunteer application yet?
I submitted mine a week or two ago, hope I get accepted. I am really excited for this one, kinda anxious too to be honest .
I have a few friends that are interested in going, two of them have never been to any sort of festival or gathering, they have absolutely no clue what they're in for if they end up going.

Yeah, i did mine a while back too. Just checked that email, I got an email saying they've received the app 10 days ago. So, im in your boat there. just waiting. Last night I was chilling with some friends and one of them mentioned the gathering and how she had a calling toward it for some reason. So i'm pretty sure my crew is gonna make it up there for at least the weekend. I will try to be there way earlier though. Yeah, i really think this is going to be an epic gathering. Any idea when the line up will be released?

So you did get an e-mail stating that they have received your app, but they still have yet to review it? Hmm, because I submitted my volunteer app at least 10 days ago and still haven't received any e-mail from them, I assumed they would at least send something out saying they've received it...damn.
Great to hear you and your crew will be making it! I have one friend that's 100% down to go, two other friends that are trying to get on board with volunteering, and two others that I am going to try to convince to go. Not to mention a handful of shroomerites that are interested in going as well...People are coming from all over to make it to this, I'm glad it's in our backyard (relatively speaking).
And I have no clue when the line up will be released, if I had to take a wild guess, 2 to 4 weeks ?....Lots of people have already bought tickets before even seeing the line up, if that does any justice to the epicness of the gathering. If they follow trend from previous years, it will be killer.

This one is all ages, but most shin digs like this do require anyone under 18 to be with a parent or someone that is their guardian.
Send them (Symbiosis) a message and make sure, you can find contact info on the website.

I might go to the pre-party. I would like to make it, but to save $ I think I just might skip it. We'll see...
BTW, I updated the original post with the line-up updates and what not. I must say, there are a few more names I would love to see on there, but so far it's damn good, and very diverse in my opinion.
