We usually have at least 8 inches of snow by now...we got literally 2 extremely light snows that didn't stick at all.
I knew it was gonna be a light or at least late winter because there were no acorns.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

Just for the record, you guys are all aware that a couple months of unseasonable weather in absolutely no way proves/disproves anything regarding long term climatic change, right?

yah mon. I haven't checked out the scientific data on the phenomenon myself yet.. but this has been the growing trend in georgia over the last several years. Based on my own anecdotal and highly circumstantial evidence of course

Yeah this winter has had a shitty start so far, only 1 snowfall so far and its all melted, the past couple days have been warmer than usual. Last year we had a decent amount of snow by late october.
Meh, not global warming though it's just one of those years.

i believe the earth goes through different cycles. Co2 emissions may speed up these cycles to a degree (and harm planet in other ways). but this is not the first time the earth has gotten warmer or colder then usual.
Oct was warmer then has been since 1903... we didn't have cars emissions in the 1903.

May not have had cars, but the industrial revolution was in full swing. Entire cities of people chronically ill from ridiculous amounts of less-than-desirable factory emissions.
I don't rightly know either way, but I'd rather er on the side of not fucking up the planet any more.
p.s. kudos to you broseph, i've never actually thought "tl;dr" to myself while scrolling through pictures before.

Fact: CO2 does absolutely accelerate warming. It's very easy to see with 10 minutes and a mass spectrometer that CO2 has a positive reflection correlation with IR and Far IR wavelengths. Also, the internal combustion engine automobile was created in 1885 and officially on the public market by 1888.
You are 100% correct on everything else in your post however

Last year was the tail end of the La Nina portion of ENSO. This year isn't.

I understand that there are many mitigating variables that contribute to our own local climates, but I don't feel that the overwhelming trend is deniable. Yes, our planet does go through a cycle every several (tens of thousand) years, but I sometimes strongly resent people who attempt to lessen the severity of our current crisis by attributing these effects to lesser causes. Seems like we're only putting off the inevitable.
