Why are my plants burning?
    #599944 - 12/06/11 06:35 AM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Ok,some small burn spots are showing up on the top leaves of my plants. Im not sure whats going on with them and am hoping someone could offer suggestions. They have been vegged for 9 weeks and are about 3ft tall. They are in 2 gallon bagswith straight Promix. I have 2 1000w lightsabout 2 1/2 to 3 ft above them. Im using r/o water. My room temp is 64 to 74 degrees. Im using floranova bloom and koolbloom. Im 8 days into flowering,Ive fed them twice now both times the ec is between 4 and 6 and the ppm is between 200 and 300. I wouldnt really think thats to strong of feeding being the plants are so big. Oh yeah my ph is 5.9 to.  I cant figure out why they  are burnt. How can I correct this issue? In not sure if this matters, but the strains are pineapple express and grapegod. Are these strains super light feeders maybe? Please, any suggestions or pointers are welcome.

Spots on top actually sounds like a defficiency, i'd say K.
A burn starts at the bottom leafs, also spreading from tips to the middle of the leafs instead of appearing in spots.

Hey thanks for the reply and you're probablly right about deficiency. I just figured out that my digital ph pen is out of calibration.....I feel so dumb now. But yeah, cause ph has been off,it probablly is the reason for deficiency/nute lockout.

9 week veg and a 2 gallon buckts...
do them a favor and transplant into largeer buckets and water normally for a week before flowering.

That was another thought I had,was that these sluts outgtew the containers. But Im already over a week into flower,so I cant go back into veg for a week then start to flower again. But I am most definately going to re pot them in larger containers. I just didnt expect them to get so big....lol. Hopefully moving them into larger containers wont stress them to much. I also bought a new ph pen today...Bluelab brand, and this one is niiiice. Also scooped a bottle of calimagic by general hydroponics, going to start using that with my feed. Thanks for the reply grod31.
