Any Carlos Castaneda's book, or The White Shaman by Olga Kharitidi
The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley
Pretty much any Hunter S. Thompson's books
Junky by William S. Burroughs is quite tits
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll...
Oh yeah and at the moment I am reading Artificial Paradises by Charles Beaudelaire, a book on haschisch, wine & opium, really really good.

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy is pretty tits

If you like a thinking man's book and like being challenge by what you read you would probably like Plato- The Republic. I am really enjoying it.

Where are the children?.. By Mary Higgins Clark is a good suspense book that I read while I was in jail

And obviously I am sure you have both Tihkal and Pihkal in the collection.

"Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance" by Noam Chomsky is quality too

I like to collect books too but only have about 40

If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

One of the best books I have ever read that reached the sensitive side of me was "Go Ask Alice"  It is a journal of a girl in the like 70s or 60s or something I forget the time period, But basically she does lsd and shit and IDK its just a really really good book in my opinion.  I strongly suggest it if you haven't read it.

I got like 5 people to fall in love with it :]

Another book/series of books I suggest is the Hatchet books by Paul something haha, I forget the author.  But its a series of books about this kid who gets stuck in the woods with only a hatchet and how he survives and how his life is out there, I read it in like 6th grade and again in like 9th, But I have read all of the books by the author, and I remember it now. It is Gary Paulson, he is the author!

And Currently I am reading 2 books,  "A man and his symbols" By Carl Jung, a book I think you would really like since you're into the symbolism.  and a book called "you said what?" or something like that,  its a book about lies and propaganda throughout history!

Goodluck and this is a cool thread, I was going to make one, I am glad you did!

The Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card is phenomenal. The first book is good, but it mainly just sets up the rest of the series. The best one IMO is Speaker for the Dead, but the first 3 or 4 are all excellent. They're essentially scifi novels on the surface but they have very strong philosophical messages.
Also, my favorite book of all time is arguably a children's book: The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince in the original French).  I've got a tattoo of a boa constrictor eating an elephant planned for after my move to Chicago.

Great recommendations.

House of Leaves is pretty cool; I haven't been able to read Only Revolutions by the same author, whose book can be read in 4 different ways and takes place in two perspectives simultaneously :s and is written in dream-type, with metaphors as a main vehicle for communicating.

American Psycho is a great book if you want to feel disgusted at someone or if you feel at all sadistic

Also, thanks for that link on the Psychedelics Encyclopedia mate :mushroom2:

@Spenner - I really wanna read house of leaves. I wonder if the library has it.

I re-read House of Leaves in 5 days about a month ago. Not that hard to follow once the groove sets in on how to read it. Terrific story!

Dan Brown's books are some of my faves like Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol.
