It means stop using torrents and start using direct link downloads
or install peerblocker

They will usually shut off your internet service.
1st- warning
2nd- shut off, you have to call to get back service
3rd- same as above
4th- same as above
5th- termination of service
I only ever got those warnings when I tried to download stuff that wasnt released yet. Since I have started only downloading stuff once it is on DVD. You get better quality that way too

I've never gotten one *knock on wood* and I don't use peer guardian or anything  I probably should.
From what I hear, they have to message you after they get a complaint from the big movie companies to show that they DID something, ya know?
I've never heard of anyone pursued for it.

i havent downloaded anythign that wasnt out
i dont even download movies really. a few here and there, mostly music though.
im debating on whether or not to stop.

Nah man, I have gotten those before
As someone else said, it is the ISP's obligation to send them out when they catch someone breaking the rules
They can never actually prove you did anything wrong. You can easily blame it on someone hacking onto your connection or something
Ive had COX shut off my internet a couple of times for torrenting shit

they can prove that you have downloaded it for sure, there are tons of cases where they threaten people to sue them for rediculous amounts of money and then take a settlement of a few thousand or something
and you get direct link downloads from sites like warez-bb
thers a program for linux called jdownloader, you can use this to download whole movies and things for free
most direct link download files are split into 100mb or 200mg sections which you attach simply with an unzipping program, usually any program you would usually use to open rar or zip files
sites like rapidshare and megaupload let you download as many files as you like at once at great speeds if you pay something like 6 bucks a month, its worth it for sure cause I dont think its possible for you to get caught, and also its much faster than torrents if you have a paid subscription
only problem is that lately there have been a dozen or more frequently used file transfer sites so if you subscribe to one many of the things you want to download may on sites you dont want to additionally subscribe to. which kind of makes it not worthwhile, unless you use, and im sure they exist somewhere, forums that only list links from a single sharing site like rapidshare
I used to pay for rapidshare and it filled up my hard drive quick, now im all out of space on all my drives and I have no reason to subscribe anymore

Sometimes they'll give you a notice if you've been seeding a lot and your upload rate is through the roof.

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much I've gotten a couple of these and never had my internet shut off. You should download peerblock if your going to keep downloading torrents.

also, do you have cox? I don't know about any other service providers but they always cut off my connection on the first warning and then turn it back on once I delete the file(s) in question.
