Hopefully, better luck this time.
Putting 9 seeds into germination. Heating pad(85f), zip lock bag with wet paper towel.
These are gift seeds, BB x WR x Hashberry, F1's untested.
Sounds Sweet.
Now to wait for the seeds to pop.
Will start out in party cups. FF/OF for soil.

I'd expect some short, stalky, heavy, and tastie plants out of that mix. Watching as always.

I hope they like the feeding schedule.
nute feeding schedule I plan on following.
I prefer roots about 5 to 7 inches long. It seems like the plants take off better that way. Tho in some cases that isn't an option, so I have used plants with roots as low as 3 inches.
As far as EC goes weeks 1 thru 3 I aim for 1.0 to 1.2, weeks 4, and 5 I aim for 1.3 to 1.6, week 6 and 7 I shoot for 1.1 to 1.4, and then week 8 I flush for the first three days only watching the EC to not allow it to go above 1.5, that has only happened once so usually isn't a problem, then the last four to ten days just ph balanced water.
As for PH I try to keep it around 5.8 to 6.2 with exception to the last four days of final flush.
I still use the floranova plan that Magash posted with a few accitives of my choosing. Weeks 1-3 no res change in these three weeks. Floranova Grow 4ml per gallon, Floranova Bloom 4ml per gallon, Floralious Plus 1ml per gallon, Fulvic Acid 2ml per gallon, Carbo Load 2ml per gallon, Hydrozyme 8ml per gallon, Silica Blast 2.5ml per gallon, that is the first week, at the beginning of week 2 I just add into week 1's mix, Ultra Snow Storm 2ml per gallon, KoolBloom liquid 8ml per gallon, Organa Quana 2ml per gallon, and run that til time for res change. From here out I change weekly. Week 4 and 5, Floranova Bloom 8ml per gallon, Koolbloom liquid 4ml per gallon, Koolbloom dry 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, Floralious Plus 1ml per gallon, Silica Blast 5ml per gallon, Hydrozyme 8ml per gallon, Carbo load 2ml per gallon, Organa Quana 2ml per gallon, Fulvic acid 2ml per gallon, Ultra Snow Storm 2ml per gallon. Week 6 and 7 Floranova Bloom 8ml per gallon, Floralious Plus 1ml per gallon, Koolbloom dry 1/2 teaspoon per gallon, Organa Quana 2 ml per gallon, Fulvic acid 2ml per gallon, Hydrozyme 8ml per gallon, Carbo load 2ml per gallon, Silica Blast 5ml per gallon, Ultra Snow Storm 2ml per gallon /week 6 only, I don't use Ultra Snow Storm after week 6. Week 8 I use Carbo Load 2ml per gallon, Final Phase 2ml per gallon for the first three days, then I which to ph balanced water for the last 4 to 10 days.
A note to remember I seem to only need 4 gallons of feed mix to 3.5 gallons plain water to hit the right EC levels. Also remember to check the water level daily, I tend to have to add back 1/4 to 1/2 gallon every 12 hours just water to keep it topped off. Hope this helps.

Should do just fine man. You may have to lower the EC in the worst case. But I doubt that'll be the problem.

Out of 15 seeds this is what poped. Did have one more but I must of hurt it when taking off the husk. Just not having luck the beans lately. Thangs have got to get better. Haven't had a drink in over 45 days.
Gona pop some other seeds to go with this, just in case. Now just gota decide which ones. Work on that one later.

sorry to hear that man. 2 out of 15 is still better than my luck this year, tho. It it wasn't for clones, I'd probably have nothing running right now.
I'm sending good vibes your way. In hopes of both being female.

you should try soaking your seeds in water over night then putting them between 2 damp paper towels. Works for me 99% of the time.

The healthy one.
Not so healthy one. Notice the orange tint to the top of the soil.Hope you can see it. This plant is dying. Looked at the roots, their next to non existence and drying up even with wet soil.
OF/FF is the soil.

The only thing I can think of is maybe I missed washing a cup after use and something grew in it. I only guessing.
Adding Alaph 13 (Shunk) from Dr. Chronic put 5 seeds to pop. Says it a great commercial strain. Time will tell.

While seeds be popping(hopefully)
Took everything out of the flowering room and painted. Used Killz Premium Its been 4 years and there have been males and herms release pollen in there. Even though I sprayed bleach water around plus the floor really needed it.
Will be setting up the 4 x 4 flood and drain table with a 40 gal res and 1000 watt hps light with 6 inch air cooled Supper Sun 2 hood.
I love playing with new toys.

It wouldn't surprise me if the BB x WR x Hashberry started showing sex in the next 14 to 21 days. Tho I know this isn't always the case, was just a thought. Were you able to clone all of them? Looks like that BB x WR x Hashberry is sticking to it's indica side of the family.

I should of taken a pic before I cut clones. Took two from each.
May also need to get new t12 bulbs. Can't think of how old there are off hand.
Stoney I've got my fingers crossed on that BB x WR x Hashberry. Hope'n it goes female. It is stay'n short. All the plants enjoy'n the new container and soil. Plus more light. Also waiting on that new TDS meter. Can't wait to turn silver into seeds.

Looks good man, hope you start having better luck with germination!
I've so far been lucky and always got 90% on germ, all i do is wet paper towel, inside a Tupperware and sit it on top of the power brick for my xbox 360. I always get great results with that. Just thought id share =)

Got some leaves turning yellow. Soil pH shows to be 6. Think it needs to be closer to 6.5 or maybe salt build up. Will flush it 1st and wait to see how they do.
Also hung the mh up tonight. Need to get the girls growing. Gona be needing clones soon.
On a sad note one more of the Alph 13's turned out to be male. Need to take a pic of it. The clone grew the stem flat. Never seen that before.
One of the males opened a pollen sack. Will be able to get pollen soon. Will make seeds with two of the clones.

I've got to ask is the smell fruity or more dank. It appears that that cross is holding strong to it's hashberry parent.

The Alpha 13 is getting a good amount of amber showing. Maybe one more week till harvest.
The BB cross is just starting to show some amber, maybe two more weeks. The mother has had the thickest growth I have seen on a plant and half as tall as the Alpha 13. It does seem to be a slow growing plant but if it packs on the weight I like I think, will be worth the time.
Will be keeping mothers of both.

Day 2 of the cloning is coming to an end.Clones are looking great. Changed water tonight. Water temp is 84f at the end of that run. New water was put in at 70f. Must remind myself to ck temp in morning.
What does everyone think on my temp being so warm. Safe? Its only March and outside temps or 80f.

Day 3 of cloning. Cool front dropped in and help with outside temp. Mid 60's tonight. Water temp in ez cloner 80f
So far so good.
Reminder to self: Clones and recovering moms are under 220 watts T5HO. Also note which plants root best. I consider this to be an important pheno in a plant for indoor cult.

The hard work is showing progress. 54 females
Smoke Report on the BB cross Its got a good body buzz but no where near locking one to a couch. No Blue Berry taste what so ever. Must remember this was an unstable strain. Will be interesting to see how the hydro version turns out.
Not happy with pump supplied with this kit for filling table. I'm running it every 4hr for 30 min and it does not fill the table to the point of reaching the overflow drain. Had to also use the 300 gph res drain pump to do this. Need to find out the gph on kit pump and upgrade on next grow.

Its taken me a few days to dail in this 40 gal res. GH are much differant from FF in amount of up and down needed for pH ajustment. Running around 6 pH and EC is 1.2 Started 12/12 tonight
This is day one of flowering.
Also down to 52 plants, the two with short roots did not make it. Have fixed pump problem.

Day 7 of flowering Already got roots growing into tray. EC(ppm) is been staying at 1200 or just below. Water temp is at 82f, about what day time temp has been. Water temp is a concern as we get further into summer.
Have read that root rot starts at 90f but I have no experience with this. Someone comment on this.

85 to 90 is where root rot likes to start. A friend of mine uses Hydrozyme and seems to keep his plants alive thru summer. I'm lucky I don't have such heat to deal with.

Stoney I will ck into that product.
Hawk, thats apita. Tried it before on a much smaller scale.
May still have a solution but will require moving the plants, a question. Some plants are getting long roots and even intertwining, is it going to hurt the plants when I move them? Some roots will be damaged.
Pic's will follow later batteries are dead.
Also this is day 27 in flowering. Need to do a res change but will wait a few days till I get this question resolved.

As long as you don't rip or tear the roots they will be fine. But I don't know why you don't just use the system I described. I had a 100 gallon res that this worked great in. You just have to stay on top of it. Make sure you always have more gallons freezing, and use enough of em to get the job done. Your other option is to buy a reservoir chillier.

The Alpha 13 is growing like a weed. The BB cross is stayiing short.
Those sad looking leaves(Alpha 13) were caused by pH.Me having to be gone for a few days, more than once. The BB cross has shown no effects from pH being off.
Alpha 13 bud in progress
Humitity is about 86 sonds high to me. The next thing to fix.
Hawk As all you mods know, I am very close to KaptKid. So he loaned me this.
http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/497771#497771 KK needs to update that thread. The refeg part is BS. The water evoperates from the semi closed off tank. Would need a sealed container made to fit. That would be dollars. This was to be a cheap tek but the 5 gal ice bucket is still worth a try. Only need to keep down a few degrees for not very long.
Water chillers are in my furture.
The bottles, apita = a pain in the ass, plus the hole is to small.
Learning alot out of this 2nd hydro run and having fun.

Day 51 of flowing
BB Cross, staying very short
The Alpha 13
Think I have another 2 to 3 week before harvest.
Very , very lucky to still have plants growing. The pump to supply tray went out one of the times I had to travel. Was without water and nutes for 2 or 3 days. The pump I put in for draining the res was the same size so it was a fast fix using it.
So far the water temp has stayed below 85f.

Upon 2nd thought, Im FUCKed. Tested a few buds and they suck, at this stage they should be great. Went back thru the grow log and this look nothing like the ones in soil.
Only a few started growing back roots into the tray and upon inspecting the pots very few roots in them. Some plants are leaning there are so few roots.
cheap pumps made in China. Which will probably be replaced by another one from China(Lowes).
I thought the plants were doing so good after the color return to them. But very little growth. Bet they would of grown seed to survive if pollinated. MJ is such a survive.
Maybe I'll get some good hash oil. Here's some final pic's
I got the moms in soil

are you blaming cheap pumps? if you say your water temp "stays below 85" 85 is high, so under that isnt good either. and you dont have many roots? probably because the water temp is too high. the leaf curling might be magnesium.
chinese pumps are probably better than some US made pumps. not everything in china is a piece of shit, and not everything made in the US is great.
