Never went to the fox theater, but I used to hang on 2nd st all the time and go see shows at the Glasshouse. Good fucking times.

i had never been there either, but it was a nice venue. not too big and not too small; really nice acoustics in there too. i was very pleased with both the venue and (of course) the band.

HOLY FUCK! I saw Opeth the other night at the Warfield in San Fran! It was wicked! I was hella drunk though. My best friend got the setlist, which is sitting right beside me. She was in the front row and i was right behind her in the second row and after the show one of the security guards brought it over to her after removing it from the stage. I wasn't a huge fan of Opeth and had never heard anything of theirs. I was impressed. They played a good show. Here's a pic of my friends with that set list....
Are you a big Opeth fan AS? My friends sure are. I actually went to town to go to a documentary screening but didn't want to leave those guys so i just went to the show. next time tool plays down there, we're going!

i like the softer stuff. i was a little bummed they didn't play more off of blackwater park, but i understand that the new album is not so heavy so they were obviously going to go with their mellower stuff; i was very pleased that they played A Fair Judgment though as it's one of my favourite songs.
i have always loved the acoustic stuff.
i should start putting some money aside for the next time Tool tours as well. i don't expect you to buy my ticket, but remember, it is a date so i'm expecting dinner at the least.

ok, then i'll tell ya now, i eat like an 8 year old. so we'll have to find some compromise. if i still had my old Traveler's job i would have bought the ticket. God, that's going to be sooo fun!
Speaking of Harvest.....During a short silence between a couple songs someone in the audience shouted out "HARVEST!" or something like that. So the band actually played the chorus to it. That was really cool. I'm not used to bands being fun like that.
