When they were put under the screen I removed all the leaves and shoots beneath the screen. I don't want any buds growing down there so i pick any that try to grow. There aren't many that do. Other than that I just let the stuff grow. I will rarely take a fan leaf off the top region. Only if it is significantly blocking light to other buds.

I'm in the middle of a flush right now and will end with a feeding of,
3 tsp Tiger Bloom
3 tsp Big Bloom
They will recieve 3 more heavy feedings before the are flushed again.

Me too! The goal again is 5+ ounces, but I don't know how the light issue will affect the outcome.

With that many tops I bet you will reach that goal!

Watered today, RO pH 6.3-6.7
Lefty is looking better than righty. Lefty being the 2 on the left, next to the carbon scrubber. It never fails, at about week 4-5 for me, my plants start to show signs of nute lock out. It could just be that righty was effected more by the flush? Hopefully the flush did it's job and the aggressive feeding will clear it up. pics in 4 days.
Found fungus gnat larvae in my soil today. I'm going to wait 4-5 days to feed next to let the soil get nice and dry.

In order to grow good weed you need to be part carpenter, electrician, plumber, biologist, geneticist, chemist, and very willing to get dirty.
I've been working with power tools since I was 8, my dad is an electrical engineer who owned a 280 gal fish tank, and I studied biology with a specialty in genetics. Getting dirty comes naturally. I think my parents inadvertently trained me to be a weed grower.

Discovered some different bugs today. It's my first run in with these what ever they are. They are only in the soil, but look much different than my fungus gnat larvae. I vacuumed the top inch of soil from both pots. I was going to replace the soil, but found my bag of soil was infested with them. Hell most likely it's where I got them from. So instead I covered the top of the soil with some vermiculite. I will do this once a week until they are harvested, then during my time off, i will do some serious cleaning. The once a week removal of top soil should keep any new larvae from hatching and I hope significantly reduce the population of both pests.

It's not too bad. The removal of the top inch of soil helped. it took about 10 solid minutes of starring at my soil to see any bugs. Before it only took 1 minute or less.
