Did you have to get a special ballast for the dual-arc bulbs, or will a regular ballast fire one up just fine? I'm curious to know how good those are...

Ah, okay. I was hoping a MH ballast would work, but I guess not.  bummer, cause those are WAY cheaper. Lol

Yea, I feel ya. I can actually get a brand new switchable 1k ballast for $125, but I can usually find used MH ballasts for about $50-75... I'll probably end up just getting switchables, since they're more versatile in the long run...

Besides, I think i'd WAY rather go with straight MH for vegging rather than dual spectrum...

I had a homemade areocloner. It leaked a bit and I was too lazy to clean it up every day, so my wife traded it for a bong... lol
