It's easy. One bucket One air pump One air stone Enough tubing to contect stone to pump. One net pot bucket lid. Enough hydron to fill net pot. It'll look like this.
Or you could use coco coir with hydro nutes and it'll be alot like soil growing. Being you can hand water as needed. There are many ways to skin this cat. Did you have your heart set on any thing in particular?

I know I'm a noob but I could imagine a simple wick rig (which I've read about) could work too.
-------------------- In order to grow good weed you need to be part carpenter, electrician, plumber, biologist, geneticist, chemist, and very willing to get dirty.
I've been working with power tools since I was 8, my dad is an electrical engineer who owned a 280 gal fish tank, and I studied biology with a specialty in genetics. Getting dirty comes naturally. I think my parents inadvertently trained me to be a weed grower.
See what you think on my first try.

Basement shaman used to have a one plant hydro set-up at a decent price, the problem is lights, most lights are designed for multiple plants, using that much electricity, you might as well grow a few. Is there like a one or two plant lighting system? Ive seen grow boxes with hydro and lights for one to 2 plants about the size of a pc tower, but there 400 bucks and up. For that much money you could get a multiple plant grow going well.
