Very nice! I'm extra green with envie I was planning to do some jack herer for my next grow. Which breeder is it by? Also, any tips for newbie grower regarding that strain?

GREAT STRAIN pest resistant rocks for buds sticky, stinky, stoney
it was however the only strain that reacted strangely to my nutrient/watering routine
kept nutrient to a minimum, all strains got the same solution, but the jack herer were slower to finish their waterings, and this put them behind in a sense. because i didnt notice really in time, their slower uptake, and hindered the growth
but not much
my jack mom flowered w/o remorse in 18-24 hours light
but a beautiful new jack mother has risen from the clone stock i have very high hopes for her, and a closet full of her branches

Which brand/bank did you use? There are so many of them, and when it comes to Jack Herer, alot of them are quite expensive.
Also, have you smoked any of these buds up? How were they

max flavor clean burn the blue dream are the only ones dried and trimmed and theyre a bunch a rocks too what looks like a quap is a half beautiful and decadent but the blue dream wont be in the closet in the near future
giving away the mom and not picking a new one one more round with them. maybe 12 of them
the jack herer i will keep around, maybe forever
the LA Sweet, i REAAAAAALLLLLY like. so much potential there. as a grower to dial in a strain, it would be a fun one.
just started some cheese and purp#1

I've been working with three phenos from Sensi Seeds (the really expensive packs). As "just me" seemed to hint at above, the Jack Herrer strain is quite sensitive to nutrient load, much more so than any other plant I've grown. I now transplant from clone into a well fortified soil base, begin flowering within 10 days, and don't add any nutrients throughout the entire flowering cycle. All of the phenos I've worked with are quite stretchy and will continue to elevate in height for the first three weeks of flowering (gaining up to a meter in height from the initial switch to 12/12).
A nice strain, but a little more difficult to grow based on its nutrient sensitivity, stretch, and longer flowering cycle that can extend up to three months! One pheno I got is very low odor, another exhibits a pleasant lemon haze aroma. Knowing what I now know, I would not shell out the ~ US$300 for seeds from Sensi, but instead would purchase directly from the breeder who originally released Jack Herrer under the Sensi Seeds brand: http://www.sanniesshop.com/sannies-jack.html
I would not recommend this strain to any but the most patiently obsessive of novice growers. For experienced growers with time, space and dedication to quality, it's a great strain.

thanks for great info Geokills
what does a seasoned vet think of my first indo
im pleasantly pleased
little weighty rocks. which will only get better that stink up the whole house as ma lady trims away
i always fortify my soils and after flowering these jacks, ill likely ONLY give them mild compost/mycorhizzae teas
mine didnt stretch too bad one me. they started flowering so fast. then again they were topped a couple times each. the OG sage were the only strain of the 4 that stretched considerably...also had the nicest root systems
a little sensitive, imo, also, to get stressed from mild organics, but the buds are worth it IMO ALSO will have a closet full of jack very soon
Geokills, in your opinion, what method of flowering is best for the jacks? scrog, sog, etc? also thank you for that link!

Lookin' pretty good, but I think you could work on your manicuring! That pic of the dried blue dream is full of scraggly leaves, I like to take my time on the trim not only for the visual appeal but for the increased quality of smoke. I have noticed that, while my Jack is still stretchy, it is not AS stretchy now that the temps are coming down for the fall. The first run was done in the height of summer where temps here are commonly in the upper 90's and low 100's, and the added heat may have contributed to more stretch than usual.
Given my space and lighting setup, I use a SCROG method for practically everything unless I'm going outdoor. Especially with stretchy strains like the Herrer, they do require regular training for the couple of weeks heading into flowering including and especially the week or two after flowering has been initiated. This means that you should plan your placement on the screen very carefully. For example, I will start training around the outter edge of the screen (so that those nodes will have the most height), begin the flowering cycle when the screen is about 60% full, and continue to train the branches toward the center of the screen, so that the lowest nodes are directly under the light source by the time flowering is in full effect. Ideally, the canopy will envelop the light source, equidistant on all sides so that each cola receives a proportionally similar level of light.

My mistake. I always trim my bud while it's still wet, since it allows me to work the scissors deeper into the bud to get rid of more small stems. Once the stuff gets dry, I find it is more difficult to work with. I suppose not everyone feels this way!

i trim off the crap when its wet use that for mushroom substrate once dried and crumbled i save the sugar leaf, or fine trim for butter we use a lot of weed butter
different flavors, different meals, etc
everyone doesnt do anything one way
not even poop
so...
anyway, i have no problems removing tiny leaves or stems after a proper drying

trimmers live off that. one/couple dependable season. i guess ive imparted that style into my indoor. drying trimming curing
i will try trimming more with a couple near harvest plants

Lovely plants dude , nice selection of strains as well. Blue Dream and Jack Herer so happen to be two of my top favorite strains...
The hazey smell with a clean lemon zip that Jack Herer has gets me every time, I can't help but repeatedly stick my nose into the buds and sniff over and over...It's really one of the most amazing & pleasant aromas to ever enter my nose . And it's also one of the few strains that I can identify by the aroma alone, even the smoke has a distinct smell to it.

lol i grew up in van and am i a migrant as well. we always got the trimmers in when it was fresh to get everything good and pretty before the dry and make sure no leafy smell stayed in the bud at all. get a way better cut that way. no leaf left behind lol.
and mushroom substrate? seriously?
talk about sustainable gardening.

and then the spent mushroom substrates go into the plant medium
these last few i mixed a little too much spawn, and a little too early
i have mixed emotions about the Jack seeing it as a 12' tall tree with 100's of colas, 3 dozen or so the size of my whole arm then watching it indoor be very temperamental to being SO EXCITED about it as it started fattening up, and weighing more than any of the other strains, while wet. denser, heavier, stinkier. etc to being dry, and sort of turning soft, and almost ALL hairs theyre like a bunch of thumb and peepee head sized, orange fuzzy caterpillars...
while the other strains nugs turned into concrete upon drying...
