ESPN pulls Hank Jr's Monday football opening song. 1

Just more proof that the Freedom of Speach means nothing to the media and politics. WRF is the US coming to, when a mean can't speak his opinion. Realy grins my gears. Even youtube disabled the comments to this video, so the people couldn't speak their mind. The only problem I have with what Hank said, is that Hitler was a much smarteer man, than Obama will ever be. Here's the video.

I dont think he is. He's kept in touch with his roots, and his people. He is as exasperated as everyone else with the way things are going and pretty much expressed himself glibly without much forethought or self-editing. People are absolutely frustrated with the way things are going, even the rich are feeling the social and economic pinch. Dems and Republicans alike. Economy is so bad oil prices dropped, people are not spending money and driving as little as needed. Its Sad.

You know that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with freedom of speech, right? The NFL is a privately owned corporation and they have the right to censor thoughts and opinions that don't align with their own if the person saying them is affiliated with them. That's some basic fucking civil liberties shit right there. If you really needed to be told that, then please don't bother voting next year.

I know it's not a legal case, due to it was the network that pulled the song. But Harry my boy if you think for a second that there isn't a political string tied around the networks balls, then I'd say you need to stay home and not vote. As I said shit like this really grins my gears.

Of course the network has political affiliations, but you claiming that this is an infringement on the first amendment is just plain wrong.

You done went all on me Harry. IMO, it is, his song was pulled, for a comment he made. Granted it's no Federal case, and I doubt he'd win any wrongful termination suits.

It is not. He said it, without censorship. His right to free speech was not infringed upon because he completed his statement and was not arrested or charged with anything and the network did not censor his thoughts.
What they chose to do with his contract after that is irrelevant and completely within their rights as a private employer.

Did I say it wasn't with in their rights to pull the song? Pretty sure I didn't. It's the way I veiw it, a fucking opinion, right, wrong, IDRGAF, it's my opinion. I guess I don't have much ground to stand on considering, I ban member for speaking their opinions of others, much like ESPN canned Hank for his. It really grins my gears!

At this point anything anyone says in media that isnt politically correct, could be deemed inflammatory, and derogotory. Freedom of speech not withstanding, no network wants to appear as a platform for defamation. The trigger word was hitler, Im surprised none of it was bleeped.

^this^
Besides I could really care less what happened to some Redneck Republicunt who probably hates Obama for reasons that are probably completely retarded. I tend to hate on all republicunts because most of their political opinions are based on either a Value system that doesn't care about anyone but the rich or just a lack of basic facts (or the belief in such facts).
My example for the belief part is republicunts still think planned parenthood pays for abortions, which is just plain un-true. I remember one day I was watching CSPAN and the(director?) of Planned parenthood was taken to a committee to basically say "hey we don't do that, but thanks for lying about what we do." Or their blatant disregard for the economic theory of propensity to save/spend and what its effect is on tax breaks for the rich, they just plain don't even do what they are designed to do. There has also recently been growing a distaste for "pledges" that a lot of politicians have been taking, the one that i am specifically referencing is one where the signers vowed to never raise taxes but was very loosely worded, its basic wording says you can't eliminate tax deductions. The person who helped write the pledge said “The pledge specifically says you can eliminate tax deductions if you bring rates down at same time,” he said. “The people who say that the pledge would get in the way of tax reform, well their point is they want a tax increase.” My response? Well really dumb shit? In other words if people who have signed the pledge do not wish to lower taxes they CAN'T remove current deductions.
I dunno, most republicans don't really think out their plans, they just think taxes in general are bad and think the federal government should have next to no power (other than of course being able to go to war at the drop of a hat and spending a ton of money we don't have [mostly because they won't let taxes increase to help pay for the war]).
/ends anti republicunt rant that explains why I don't really five a shit what a redneck Obama hater has to say.
Just felt like putting in my 2 cents, because I laughed my ass off when I heard about his song being removed and told all my friends how awesome it was.

You mean any network other than any news station in existence, but with the focus being on faux news.

So you don't really believe "Freedom of speech not withstanding, no network wants to appear as a platform for defamation"? Because your response makes absolutely no sense considering what you said, and what I said in response.
It's cool though, idc, just keep ranting about nonsense.
