 What do I look for when buying hash?

Well I'm going to look around for some hash.
But I don't wanna get low quality, or over pay.
I know what to look for when buying dank bud, but hash is alien to me.
Pictures, help, personal experiences, anything at all.
... Or should I just stick with bud?

seems that no one has full melt around here. idk why, that shit is bomb. ear wax hash is also bomb as shit and lasts for days. my fav is hash oil though.

My favorite is quality full melt bubble, stuff that can be worked in the hands or somewhat malleable with a bit of heat. I love hovering a flame above the hashish and watching it bubble & melt & do it's thang....
I've seen full melt on the "dealer" market around here a few times, actually more so than ever in the past 6 months. It can be found but it's still not very common...As far as dispensaries go, I'm not familiar with what's in the Sac area but out in SF and SC all sorts of hashish can be found.
I'll probably be smoking my fair share of finger and scissor hash tonight  .
