You're amazing
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Isn't it??? Even when I'm the downest of down, I still have a bewilderment with the brain's capabilities. The fact that I'm experiencing such an intense emotion and being able to look at it objectively at the same time, to be able to explore within myself so deeply, to create visual metaphors for small feelings in my brain that make me explore it even further etc etc. Life is truly remarkable, whoever crafted it deserves a gold star

I am starting to wonder if it was a good choice going into science, because more often than not I am sitting there gawking in amazing and getting shit all done.

Some shit in science is pretty awesome when you first learn it. Biology can be a real trip, however chemistry and physics is pretty awesome too (just in a slightly different mind blowing kind of way).
Fractal next time only take 1 dose of acid before you post.

Biology I think is the showpiece culmination of all the other sciences.

Idk personally knowing everything is composed of atoms is and always will be a pretty huge mind fuck for me.
Learning how they interact with each other in chemistry has always been kind of nice, learning how a battery actually worked kind of blew my mind honestly (it also let me know that adding distilled water to a battery is a bad idea).
But to each their own. I'm not trying to say everyone should do science stuff either, but for inquisitive people it really is a good source of answers.
