4 weeks ago I started 5 ak48 autoflower feminized seeds. Used the paper towel method, 4 sprouted. They spent 10 days in 16oz foam cups, then transplanted to 2 galon pots (except 1 that went Into a 1gal). My soil mix is:2pt soil, 1pt earthworm castings, 1pt vermiculite, 1pt perlite. They are now under 400w of hps in a 2x3 closet. I have a cooltube, an inline fan and carbon filter (6" tallboy), as well as a small fan to move the air around inside the closet. Fed with GH MaxiBloom a week ago and they loved it. I was going to skip 2 waterings untill the next time I fed, but one plant turned pale overnight and developed red stems (i discovered this yesterday), so I fed again after 5 days. 24 hours later I discover tiny white tips on 3 plants that were previously perfectly healthy; also fan leafs are doing the claw all over the place Its probably too early to judje, but it looks a lot like nute burn...so is it possible that 4 plants of the same strain, in the same conditions would require compleatly different amounts of nutrients? (the pale plant is still pale, and the only one without the "claw" leafs)
This is only my second grow (finishing up my 1st in the same closet lol..), so advice is very welcome. Bear w/ me on the pics, im getting a new camera ASAP.
The leafs are getting worse, but it doesnt seem to effect growth. anyone wanna guess what the problem is? Im going to post in docs diagnosis section, just waiting for lights off so I can get some night pics.
They are autos about 1 1/2 weeks into flowering. I've seen this happen to my auto thats almost done flowering, but it started w/ lower fan leafs and made its way to the top branches. This is different; the veins of fans are turning pale while the tops are covered in yellow tips. Also the lowest sets of effected plants went from green to yellow to dead in about 36hrs.
I forgot to mention a very important thing - I flipped the autos to 12/12 about a week ago. I mainly did this because I will be flowering a few clones in the same closet, but im also interested to see how the autoflowers do w/ 12/12.
Can someone Please help me? I think these autos are fucking w/ me on purpose @.@ so I stumbled on a picture of nute lockup that looked just like the sickest girl, and flushed the next day (first runoff ph was 6ish, final 7). 2 days pass and tips of ALL fan leafs become brown, and the plant looks even paler. <-that was yesterday so I figured it had to be a defficiency (most likely N from what I read) so I fed it 1/4 dose of GH MaxiGrow which has Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur, Iron, Manganese; NPK is 10-5-14. I know there are more (13 I think), but what I have looks like Nitrogen or maybe Iron deff according to what I read. Today (24hrs later) it looked even worse; second set of fans died...heres the crazystupid part The buds are growing exponentially faster EVERY DAY. WTF is going on >.< ?!?!?! The biggest girl is developing the same symthoms. The other two seem fine and they have been in the exact same enviroment from seed (except the sickest one, its in a smaller pot and was transplanted late). By the time I was taking closeups the hps turned on -.-
Yeah I wonder if w.e is wrong w/ the soil is stressing them more though..
Anyway, I was advised by a trustworthy person that all the problems are defficiencies. So next watering I will feed a tea spoon of maxigro/maxibloom per galon.
Also, I found 5 seeds in some :reeeally dank weed. Supposed to be Hash Plant . Put them in paper towels w/ another bagseed I found a while ago.
