I am not sure if this thread should be in this forum or not but right now i have a Purps male i have saved and will be breeding it with a herijuana female when those girls are ready. in the meantime is it safe to keep the Male purps with my moms?
they are all in a 24/h veg cycle right now and the male just started showing its sex. though i know males can start pollinating in veg and am worried about excess pollen contaminating my moms. I really have no where to move the male to for now but need to know if its okay for him to just chill out with my ladies?
I also have never bred marijuana before so any tips from you guys would be great.

i figured i should add that i have the full intention of creating an IBL with these two parents. so keep that in mind if you have any tips on what i should do as far as say keeping the male alive or just freezing the pollen?

I've never frozen pollen but seen it done on tutorials and it definately is a valuable technique concidering the males usually finish first...
If you can't move him and flower him somewhere else, you will just have to pray you can move him out just intime b4 his nuts bust, let him chill somewhere a day or 2, and then u can harvest the pollen somewhere else and bring it back on a Q-tip with the fans off when its time to polinate

As long as the moms are in veg you can wash with water to kill pollen.
Always best to remove those dudes. When you can.

also when should i expect my male to start producing pollen? his nuts are barely developed right now cause i topped him like crazy about a month back to slow down his cycle. and i will most likely be doing it again. i know it shocks him but does that really matter for a male plant? its not like his yield is gonna be effected by shock at a young age lol.
sorry for all the questions i just have no clue wtf im doing when it comes to keeping males/breeding.

sometimes they look like mini (american) footballs too.
After u do this one time, that's all you will need to know when they are almost bustin' but before then you will just have to deal with the suspense and mystery hahahaha

ahaha everyone loves suspense and mystery...
im actually so stoked tho. my herijuana seeds should be here next week and its a strain ive been dying to grow considering its the best indica i have ever smoked like strait crippling. and i think my purps will give it that sativa edge it needs to become an all day smoke plus some purpling and better flavor.
though im trying not to get my hopes up cause its my first time and its rare that you get anything just right on the first attempt.
