Its a pheno, not a strain.

Like RasJeph said it's a pheno and as far as I know it hasn't been pinned down yet to the point where you can say "plant these seeds and the plants will have pink hairs". I've had a few do it and some have done a very bright red, one has been black hairs and two of them have been blue. That's over the coarse of 26 years of growing.

It has happened to me on the top hairs of an aurora indica plant in the colder season, but as mentioned by magash it was probably a pheno and isn't that common.

Out of curiosity, if you were to clone a rarity like that, would it still have the various colored hairs or does it also have to do with growing condition?

It seems like something I'd want to keep around, but it also seems like temperatures, etc can have a LOT to do with that kind of thing. I know a clone is supposed to be a copy, but if all the other conditions aren't met in the same way, its not gonna be exactly the same, ya know?

I would think that if you cloned it you could keep the color of the hairs. Usually hair color is more a thing of genetics rather then environmental.

I have noticed at least with the pink hair pheno i have of sharksbreath that the hairs only stay pink like that for about 3 weeks. i have never seen a  truly finished bud with the majority of pink hairs.

Yeah, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that they are turning more of a pinkish purple. Fuschia I'd say... Still very pretty. I'll post pics this evening of my sour diesel garden grow

Its funny, I never thought of any special pistil colors until this thread. When I checked my outdoor girls today, they're pretty vibrantly colored. I'm not sure what color, but its never quite been like it before.

Makes me wanna pay more attention.

I've yet to hear of a strain(er. cultivar) that will reliably produce pink pistil pheonotypes this is probably because given the opportunity to select towards a pink pistil pheonotype and a clearly superior phenotype be it bigger, quicker, tastier, more potent a breeder is likely to pick the superior phenotype.

I did come across this particular cultivar while browsing for some seeds to try outdoors.

http://hempdepot.ca/seeds/SirSmokeAlot/Freezeland.html

It could possibly be a winner if a pink pistol phenotype is truly what you're after.

It never really mentions how many beans come in the pack on that site. Or I'm kinda hungover and just missed it.

Does anyone know if they still orange up when they dry/die?

You go to seed/price, this particular pack is 10 seeds.
