fucking bud rot
    #585065 - 09/10/11 06:27 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Fed my plants yesterday and I noticed some early signs of bud rot. It's only on one plant thankfully. 3 or 4 days of steady rain caused this. I'm hoping a few 80 degree days will help slow things down a bit.

Any methods out there that help slow down the process? My girls have 3 weeks left before the threat of a frost and potentially 5 more  weeks if weather permits.

The strain is bubblelicious

To my understanding neem oil helps in this sort of situation.

Imo, if the rot is localized, I'd trim it off and cross my fingers in hope of low humidity ti the finish.
From my understanding bud rot can spread quickly, so I think removing it would be wise.

Hopefully a more experienced grower will be able to help you better.

Cut the rot out immediately. Like stone said, it can and will spread quickly.

and cut it out before it gets to dry. When it dries it turns to a powder and can very easily be spread the same way spores spread in the wind.

I cut the rot out as soon as I saw it. And then carefully looked over each plant. It's interesting that out of the group of 5 this one has it. The buds aren't really that dense yet on this plant.  I sprayed with some seranade yesterday. Sprayed all the areas where I had to remove the bud....and then gave all my plants a light spray. I think I'll keep spraying them every week till the first of october. Hopefully this keeps things at bay.

Thanks for all the feedback. I really appreciate it
