I assure you it is. My family has a house in East Texas, I have lived in Georgia. I am familiar with humid areas and that wet heat. But when you live in a desert and it is consistently above 110 for months on end and you get rain only maybe 7 days a year, it's pretty fucking shitty.
Either way. September should start cooling down pretty nicely

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

My family doesnt live in central Texas, they live in East Texas. It's about an hour and half east of Houston. It's actually like a swamp there. They even have the gators to back it up

FurrowedBrow said: ...do you actually go hunting for mushrooms? I'd like to have a partner for that. My friends aren't as into mycology. We were just talking about how mild the summer has been here. It seems great to me. It's nice and chilly at night sometimes too.
Yes I do. I usually head out to wooded areas around rivers and over into the foothills. I hunt mostly just to see what I can find, I get a kick out of identifying and photographing mushrooms. On good days you can find a decent diversity of mushrooms in a relatively small area. Every once in a while I will collect some edibles that are easy to identify.
Active mushrooms aren't very common out here, but Psilocybe cyanescens and Psilocybe cyanofriscosa have been found out here in the valley. Particularly the friscosas seem to be popping up more and more , which is interesting because they were just discovered in the bay several years back . Those would be the ones I would keep an eye out for (in urban areas only) if you are interested in active mushrooms. Gymnopilus luteofolius also grows out in the valley and contains relatively low concentrations of psilocybin, pretty sure it also contains some alkaloids similar to what is found in Kava so it's said to have a unique buzz to it.
But yeah man, one of these days this winter we'll have to meet up and go for a hunt....Though if things work out for me I might be working at a local ski resort or Yosemite for the winter so I'm not sure how much I'll be down here in the valley.
