Absoloute classic. This is actually one of the oldest films i can remember watching. Never read the book though.

Book and movie are awesome. Love how violent the movie was when I was a kid. Plus I had a bunny.

Yeah, my aunt has the book. I remember seeing the animation a long time ago. And it brings some kind of nostalgia I've never felt before. I just recently realized it was based on a book.
I wonder how the movie compares with the book.

Yeah, it can be sad, but I think it's a good idea to introduce the concept of death to a child at a semi-early age. That's just my opinion though. I mean why not be honest with children?

Watership Down is in my top 10 favorite books. Not necessarily an important piece historically or becuase of literary content, but rather because I love rabbits (pets, food, fur, fun to watch in nature, etc...) and the story Watership Down adds just the right amount of humanism for my tatse. Tales from Watership Down was good also, but couldn't touch the original.
