Barack Obama's Department of Justice could crack down on lawful medical marijuana dispensaries as soon as today.

Can you sign our emergency letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking him to keep President Obama's promise to respect state medical marijuana laws? Click here to add your name.

Soon after President Obama took office, Attorney General Holder ordered US Attorneys to stop enforcing federal marijuana laws in states that have set up their own rules and regulations.

Yet in recent months, those federal prosecutors have stepped up an unprecedented coordinated campaign targeting medical marijuana states with threats to state governments and violent raids on lawful medical marijuana operations.

Now Holder is set to "clarify" his previous policies for federal prosecutors around medical marijuana. It's critical that Holder only reiterate his previous instructions to not interfere with patients and caregivers who comply with state laws.

We may only have hours before Holder issues a new policy. Please sign our urgent petition telling Attorney General Holder to honor his 2009 memo and end federal prosecutions of medical marijuana patients and dispensaries.

Holder's out of control federal prosecutors have already done severe damage in two states with medical marijuana laws.

After numerous federal attorneys issued nearly identical letters to medical marijuana states threatening to prosecute public employees who implement marijuana laws, those states pulled back on marijuana reforms. The Governor of Washington vetoed a bill to allow medical marijuana dispensaries, and the Governor of New Jersey is refusing to implement the state's medical marijuana laws due to the possibility that state employees will face prosecution by the federal government.

State medical marijuana laws are the products of democracy. Tactics like these are beginning to have a chilling effect on marijuana reform.

Join us in urging Attorney General Holder to honor his 2009 directive and reign in the rogue US attorneys to respect state laws.

There is no talking point I can't refute about the man, and all his ideals are on solid ground.
