A few questions about coco hempy buckets?

Hi everyone,
I have a few coco blocks and perlite lying around and some pure blend pro for soil. I also have ph tester strips. Is this enough for me to get started doing a hempy bucket?
The coco is just the stuff from the pet store, can anyone tell me how to rinse this? I assume just hydrate the brick, then rinse it out once hydrated again with hot water? And will tester stips work ok with tap water and pure blend pro? Really wanting to go coco, but have no extra cash right now. Thanks!

Thanks for the post! I have pbp grow and bloom and also cal-mag, the ph tester i have is just the dropper kind, not sure what they are really called. You drop into a little jar thing and hold against strip to see the color. Do you think this would be enough to produce a good crop?
Thanks again
