Is this what it's supposed to be?

My wife is growing a bunch of different stuff, and this is supposed to be a pitcher plant- either sarracenia purpurea or sarracenia leucophylla.
We have searched and searched, and can't find any pics of this as a young plant. Anybody have any experience with this?
