These are tie dyes I made with bleach, so it only gives ~2 colors, but they were only tests, I am soon gonna try to make some with real dye, I really like the results, except maybe for the dark greenish weird colored one, the spiral isn't easy to see. If you guys have any you made, feel free to post them!

Funny you should mention... I just got a bunch of new white shirts to dye.
You can never have too much tie-dye.

So true... I have a lot of Pink Floyd tie dye, but I totally prefer the ones I made, plus, it is so much fun to do!

I could never get it right
And when I did, the dye would fade so fast.
Anyone know how those motherfuckers at Liquid Blue do theirs?

Why should that mean it isn't real?

If you spray a little bit of water on the t-shirt before doing it, it should slow the dye a little bit, the more you put, the more you have to wait also before the effects starts to appear.
Also, I hope you are not using pure bleach, I use 1 cup of bleach for 3 cups of water, it works perfectly. There are a lot of video on youtube that I watched for an example:

Aaah ok I am sorry then, I misunderstood, I wish I could help you but I haven't done any with real dye, I definitely have to try it soon!

I really like that first shirt you posted. Those colors look good together. I've tie dyed only a few shirts in the past. Those eventually got too old and I think I donated them. Glad you made this thread, makes me wanna tie dye some shirts again

Over night usually. But they're so wet they bleed and stuff. I dunno, its always a huge mess.
You should make a youtube tutorial and show what kinda dye you use. Those are awesome

the only real tips I can give * use only natural fiber shirts * wash the shirts before dyeing them * I like to keep the shirts slightly damp (the wetter they are the more the color spreads and blends) * store them in a plastic bag overnight (minimum) * rinse them outside several times before wearing or washing
and plan ahead the best shirts I've made I went in with a plan even if you don't know what pattern the folds will make it helps you to keep certain colors apart (like red & green)
stick to simple dye patterns (bullseye, stripes, spiral, pie wedge) because you'll have to repeat it when you turn the shirt over

I appreciate the tips. If I could get it down, I'd totally make and sell them at craft shows and shit.
What kinda dye?
