I alternate taking a bunch of benadryl and smoking a few bowls before bed, and falling asleep naturally.
That way, if I run out of either one, I'm not dependent on it to sleep.

I find that it doesn't really make me sleep, but it really helps me sleep through the whole night.
I do always wake up feeling fuzzy though, even if I only take 2 of them to sleep.
