my tent is up to 101'F...

I was warned of this during the winter, now my plants are gonna start cooking soon. What do I do? An air conditioner is impossible to use. I have a carbon filter and an oscillating fan but it only dropped about two degrees. Is my setup fucked?

What are you using to power the carbon scrubber? What size tent, what size lamp, what is the temp in the room SURROUNDING the tent, why is AC impossible? etc etc.....

Wow, I just searched your previous posts and realized I was the one that warned you My bad! I didn't recognize the name But yeah, if it's as hot where you are as it is where I am right now this instant, and if your tent is in the same place then an AC is about the only way to effectively cool it down. The next "best" thing would be to get some ventilation in that barn/garage or whatever the tent is in.
Do you have a place you could put them outside? 101 is definitely not the optimum temps, but Im sure people grow outside too and temps get that high outside so they will grow in temps like that, just make sure they have as much healthy breeze that they can get. Is your setup still exactly the same as your original post? All my other questions still apply as well.

Dude you need to get another more powerful fan for sure. and c99 is probably right the only way to truly cool it down would be an AC or a duct system piping the hot air away from the room that the tent is in and also figuring a way to pipe in cool air into the tent. You need a more powerful ventilation system is my guess. But of course then your talking more noise, and since the more powerful fans are noisier people tend to use a smaller one than they really should. Plus the big ones are so fucking expensive!

I have a 6in inline duct fan which was good for a room that's 8x8x6 or something close to that. My tent is 4x4x6.5. The fan is bigger than necessary. Two 125W fluorescent lights. Which were off when I checked the temperature. And this barn is about 85'F during the day. I'm venting the filter out of that room completely tomorrow. And maybe installing a fresh air duct for outside air. And I don't think I can think of a way to put an AC in a Mylar tent.

You could always flip your light schedule so the lights are on during the coolest part of the day and turn off during the heat.

That's a good idea.
What about adding CO2? I've heard this allows plants to flourish in higher temps but would take some finnagling of your ventilation system to maximize the use of the gas.

You could flip the schedule to a night time schedule and that could help depending on night time temps. As for the AC, could you put a window ac in the barn if there is a window in it? Also, if you plan on growing after this grow as well and keeping it going, if it were me I would buy one of those portable air conditioners for sure. Nobody could see it from the outside and you could run it in there right by the tent etc etc. Do you have pics of how it looks right now?

co2 is expensive.

This is a good plan. I'd also recommend adding a silica supplement of some sort. Something like Silica Blast.

CO2 is also relatively useless unless you're growing in a closed system.

Unfortunately your cab temps usually run between 5-10 degrees hotter than the ambient temps of your room. So unless you find some way to cool down the barn, or pipe in some AC to the grow tent (you do know about portable AC units right?), I think you're pretty much going to be hosed no matter what.

I started my lights on 6p.m. on 6a.m. off just to be safe from this. I have been looking into portable ACs they're too expensive unless you get a shit one. I'll have some pics ASAP. And I have one of those exhale fungus blocks that emit enough co2 for 2-5 plants. It only got up to 89 today and the fan makes a constant breeze. They don't look wilted at all but I don't know much about heat stress.

Hope the plants are doing fine.
My last grow was flowered with a conopy temp of 90f. Plants did well and have a great stone to them. The elect bill was less too.
They do drink more water.
Good luck to another bro growing in the heat.

I also just read of someone putting a cool mist humidifier in a hot tent. They said it helps draw the heat out I've personally never done it so I can't speak by personal experience, It's just what I read on another site.

This. Actually a much more efficient (and cheaper) method of getting co2 to plants is spending time near them, breathing on them.

I don't have a social life, and stay in my apartment all day. Thus, my yields are good.
