 DXM question?

My friend took 150 mg last night at about nine o clock of six pills (25mg each) and had some decent eye visuals, but today, he's feeling awful. Like super sick, slightly feverish. I talked to him at about nine thirty today before he went to bed, he said he still felt really sick and was worried. Any ideas? Im kinda worried

I can't say for sure, but he should be fine.
I hear frequently people feel shitty after DXM.
Was there anything beside DXM in the pills?
If not he should be fine.

That's a pretty heavy dose. Could he have built any previous tolerance to DXM in the last 48hrs? And also, what other (if any) active ingredients were in the medicine he took? and what brand?

DXM leaves you feeling pretty nasty sometimes, but other things in the pills might do that too. Only diphenhydramine were in the pills? What was the dose of it/pill?

Dxm=dextromethorphan hydrobromide. Found in robitussin cough medicine. Is a cough suppressant.
Not Diphenhydramine. Found in benedryl, allegra C, and some other otc allergy medicines.

Well was diphenhydramine the only additional drug in the pills, in addition to DXM? Some of the OTC pills have some nasty (for recreational use) other drugs in them.

dxm comes in 15 or 30mg pills and is a cough suppressant
as opposed to diphenhydramine which is for allergies and comes in 25mg pills. like benedryl.

Actually 150 mg is an extremely light dose. Frankly I doubt that amount was enough to produce any visuals. Sounds like he took something other than DXM or as you mentioned Diphenhydramine.

Just realized my mistake, he kept calling it DXM, but it was in fact Diphenhydramine. He's still feeling really shitty, says he is never doing it again.

He said he did not get the horrifying hallucinations that usually occur during diphenhydramine trips, just some CEVs and weird thoughts in his head, like schizo thoughts.

Thats still not a lot the LD50 is like around 500 mg on Diphenhydramine. He will be fine, and should feel better by tomorrow.
You can feel crazy on that stuff, talking to someone for 30 minutes then blinking your eyes and they are gone.

YOu're right, I have been reading stuff on erowid where people take over 400mg to trip, so im not too concerned anymore. He has experience with Vyvanses, so I think this hang over has thrown him off.

The hallucinations seem so negative and just plain horrifying, I say if you want to trip that nad get your hands on some decent stuff, dont destroy your liver for this. Its not worth it.

yes I remember when I did it my first time, I had a weird creepy mental hangover for a while, and couldnt eat, everything was tasteles... YUCK.. I took a whole box of benedryl, like 350mg, fucking never again, but I have taken small amounts since to help anxiety or help to sleep
