The second time I grew I used about 50 gallons of soil per plant. I never weighed the plant's output, but it was obvious that the massive amounts of medium led to the spectacular results. The guy at the grow store asked me if I was a cop. Me and my homie were buying huge amounts of Fox Farm soil and lots of perlite. I like to add perlite until a wet clod of soil breaks up with a touch of the finger. Me and my homie got Fox Farm T Shirts for free. If I ever grew again, I'd like to grow outdoors in a sunny climate. That really the best way to go as far as all the factors are concerned. HAve fun growing. Sorry I wasn't more specific.
