You're never going to be a shaman paying attention to so much pop culture.
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

I didn't really see anything that screamed DMT tbh except maybe the portal they went through when his device exploded. Everything else (and honestly, even including the portal) are pretty common place things to see and hear in an episode like that.

I've heard a lot about that show, but I've yet to see it. It's never on when I happen to switch on Cartoon Network.

you know this episode is very reminiscent of the "Roswell that Ends Well" episode of Fururama
Fry kills his grandfather but has sex with his grandmother Bender gets dropped but is dug up in the year 3000

I hear you on that, dude. Once you can see individual blades of grass on playing fields, everything else just looks fuzzy and distorted.
