In Unix, the system time is represented as the number of seconds since 1969. Because we haven't had a full day yet, the code is printing out the date for "zero", which happens to be somewhere back in 1969. It should auto-fix after a full 24-hours have passed... and if not, then ignore what I just said 'cause it is 4/20 and I turned off the brain a few hours ago.
