Do you live in Washington state and want to see cannabis legalized for adults 18+? Well then, you should sign up as a volunteer for Sensible Washington! We need people to collect signatures, organize benefits, and any number of other tasks invovled with getting I-1149 on the ballot this fall.
If you can stand around and talk to people about why cannabis use should not be a crime, you're qualified.

If you want meng, I'll see what I can do with them. Weed needs to be legal here damnit... The state needs to stop fightin this shit and just give us what we want. I mean honestly, are potheads a hazard to the state? No! I can't see a habitual stoner goin out and robbin a bank or killin someone for any cause.

Sweet! I'm sure you know some stoners that're registered voters. I'll hit you up by this weekend at the latest and drop off a couple along with some voter registration forms. Fill 'em up, lemme know, and I'll make sure they get back to the proper place.
This offer also stands for anyone in the South King/North Pierce county area. If you're elsewhere in the state, contact your local coordinator.

You know, this is a good gesture, but it's asking for too much, and it's not gonna happen.
I mean lets be real. The governor just said that she's not going to sign the new MEDICAL marijuanna bill because the feds announced that it's too lenient and they would start arresting people (including the city workers who assisted with licensing) if it were passed!
If the federal government doesn't even recognize that marijuanna actually does have medical uses, how do you expect us to be able to get away with it on a recreational level??
It would be nice for something like this to pass, and I'm absolutely positive I'll see it completely legal in my lifetime. But we gotta make small steps towards making it legal, not just jump the gun and say "give it to us now!!!"

And she's fucking retarded for that one. New Mexico has state run dispensaries, and there has been no federal interference to date. The feds aren't interested so long as they're operated within the definitions of state law. Not signing SB 5073 is putting more people at risk (patients, caregivers, and dispensaries) than signing it would have, by not having clearly defined laws and structures for dispensaries to operate within.

They recognize it, they just don't admit it freely. US Patent #6630507.

If this gets on the ballot and passes, there ain't shit our booze-hound Governor can do or say about it. We've taken the small steps: We have medical cannabis. We've de-prioritized it in Seattle city limits, Tacoma has a similar initiave in the running this year, too. The King County DA is throwing out simple possesion charges left & right.
The next logical step IS decriminalization.
This is our year, WA.

I think I still have a valid WA DL. When the time comes, I will make the trip to vote this in with my dad, who lives and smokes in Seattle. Lucky bastard! I live in the driest climate (cannibusly speaking) I have ever known. God I miss the PNW!
