Bradley Manning Protest?

The ammount of people I've removed from my facebook over this issue is unbelievable, but I'm pretty set against what is going on currently with bradley manning so I'm going to share this. It happened at an Obama fundraiser in San Fransisco. (lyrics below)
Dear Mr. President, we honor you today, sir
All of us have given you our tax dollars
It takes a lot of Benjamins to run a campaign I paid my dues, where's my change?
We'll vote for you in 2012, yes, that's true Look at the Republicans - what else can we do? Even though we don't know if we'll retain our liberties In what you seem content to call a free society
Yes, it's true that Terry Jones is legally free To burn a people's holy book in shameful effigy But at another location in this country Alone in a 6x12 cell sits Bradley
23 hours a day is night The 5th and 8th Amendments say this kind of thing aint right
Nobel Peace Prize/ Whistle blowers Guantanamo/ Quantico Juan Mendez/ Due Process Crimson Tide/ Laurence Tribe 8th Amendment/ Cruel and Unusual 5th Amendment/ Punishment before a trial Terry Jones/ Burnin' that Quran Promise of transparency/ Dennis Kucinich
We paid our dues, where's our change? We paid our dues, where's our change?

Bradley manning
Pretty much the afghan war diaries. The thing most people got all butt hurt over.
I personally don't really believe in censorship beyond keeping technological secrets. Keeping things censored for any other reason is just bullshit in my opinion, and whether justified by some government or not, I view it as a crime against a nations citizens to not let them know what their government spends their tax dollars on.

I support wikileaks in the fullest and such leaks as Pakistan aiding insurgents while accepting aid money from the US show information is rapidly becoming the new and upcoming currency as the world becomes more connected then ever before.
Though it's not like it matters. If such information was revealed in the 1950's there would be a media frenzy. Nowadays the average person asked about wikileaks only knows of Assange's recent legal troubles.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

I just think it needs to be available, you bring up a valid point. You can't exactly force people to know, hell I bet half the people in america don't even watch or read any news.
They've been treating bradley so bad though I consider it a humanitarian issue honestly, and would be offended whether or not I supported what he did. The same way I oppose the prisoners in Guantanamo bay not getting a day in court. Hell, even if they are put in court where do we put them? Will the world really let us just lock someone up because we say "TERRORIST HERP DERP FEAR MONGERING!!!!" .... apparently so. They'll even let us commit torture when it's been proven not only ineffective, but also internationally illegal (by a resolution the US signed).
International members, what's the view of things like Guantanamo bay and the like? Do you ever hear about it in the news?
