Hailing from Eugene, Oregon drummer Dano and guitarist/vocalist Aaron Tunnell are the twopiece madness that is The Athiarchists. Two badass mothafuckas that know how to thrash! They are on Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory right now, so far it's a great episode. I met The Athiarchists at an awesome Punk Rock house party in Tacoma, WA. They are hella cool dudes, hella chill and funny as fuck. Bout to get an autograph from them next time they throw another party. If any of you like thrash metal, here's where you can check their shit out.

Fuck. Yes! I'm such a fanboy for them, the two hardest working people in music, hands fucking down. I've known these dudes for a few years now, and they're some of the nicest, dedicated, pot-smokin-est metalheads you'll ever meet.
One show turned me from a fan into someone who would sell blood by the gallon to support them. They play any show offered, even ones with no pay. So when I heard they were playing a shithole mexican restaurant in Auburn, WA, I knew the crowd would suck and I should show up to support them. So I grabbed a good friend and headed down there. Sure enough, by the time the hit the stage, the bar was empty....literally. The only people there were myself, my friend, the promoter, and the bartender....4 people total. Most bands would be pissy about this situation, complaining that it's live band practice, not putting 100% into the performance.
Not these guys.
Aaron asks the bartender "Hey man, can we just set up on the dance floor?" He agrees, they set up in the middle of the bar and rage one of the best shows I've ever seen out of them. I've seen them play for 4, 40, and nearly 400 people. It's always the same show, same intensity, same "we're here to rage your fucking balls off" attitude, no matter what. Afterwards, we sat in the parking lot and blazed for about 2hrs.

Niiiiice, I'm hella down. I think one of my favorite parts of that party was walkin in the front door and gettin handed a joint, then turnin around to pass the joint and another ones comes my way. Soooo much ganja was consumed that night.
