waiting for the next harvest
    #545830 - 04/12/11 09:02 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

What is the worst part of the grow for you? I find for me its the the last few weeks of flowering.  Watching them swell up and get all crystalie, man its hard not to start cutting branches. I'm watching a fine wine mature.

It must be a beautiful sight though, and well worth it in the end.  :potleaf:

I'll do it for you.  Just pay me in smoke and you got yourself a trimmer.

trimming seems like it would be fun the first couple of buds, then after that seems like it would get tiring.

Yeah, it is. Especially when everything starts sticking to everything, and its like that scene in whatever movie it was when the dude glues everything to him .

Also, @ OP, I fucking love your forum name

Think that field of pot is real?  My girl suggested maybe it's hemp cause that's legal in canada?

For me it's also the trimming... I hate killing the girls, shit takes forever, and now you dont have a beautiful plant to look at and it will still be a couple weeks before it's smokable

If you can catch the video where they're harvesting it, I'm pretty sure its a real plant.

Each one is very different too...so, either they paid a shit load to have some very realistic synthetic stuff made, or you're right, its hemp haha.

I have to say the hardest part for me is waiting the last few weeks of flower. Because by that time ive smoked up all the shit from my last harvest, which means Ive been smoking some cheap mexican shit.

I myself am on my first official harvest; still have a few more weeks to go.  But I have to say, it's amazing watching the cannabis's plant life cycle.  It's so mysterious and dangerously fragile.  It's like, it can either be a total eyesore or a complete work of art.  Eh...

Yes trimming ranks up on the top of my list as well.  Trimming is so labor intense and I have to do it all myself.

I second that. I refuse to give in to machine labor though. Those things look like they may slaughter all the loving gental care we put into them.

Yeah it's something that needs to be done by hand.

I dunno, I kind of really want to get myself a spin pro.  But fuuuuuck spending 600-700 bucks on the damn thing when my 20$ bonsai shears work just as well (albeit much much slower)
