Yeah, so is outlawing a plant and it's seeds and having a policy that attempts to make one of the most useful plant in existence extinct.

and to clarify....MAPS is an organization that funds research to help people. That's their primary goal. All of us that have any experience with these drugs know that there's a ton of benefit to be gained from them. Not just with a boost of creativity, but helping people process and move on from a traumatic event like a rape or PTSD from serving in Iraq. These issues deserve our full support. It's an absolute abomination of humanity to deprive EVERYONE from being healed because of politics. It sickens me. This is an issue that deals with not just a single person, town, society, or country. It's an issue relavent to all human beings. Now, to say that it's the most important issue is just a personal opinion.
I agree with the need for research, no doubt. Until we get the results from that research, we really don't have much evidence of the psychedelics actually being a helpful tool for those people who suffer from PTSD. I personally believe, it would help some people, and cause adverse effects on many, like any other medicinal "tool". This is one of the reason why I believe psychedelics are not some healing tool that is supposed to save the world, and certainly not the most important issue in this day.
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

wow, you need an education in psychedelic research my friend. It really kind of bothers me that you don't think there's any evidence out there that these drugs are helping people. This research is already done! The people in the psychedelic community already know what the results of these studies are going to be. Hell, the researchers themselves aren't surprised by any of these positive results.
