Does the American Health Care System make them sicker???

I have not trusted any Doctor here for a long time. Too many pill pushers in the field these days. Now it seems that they deliberately do stuff that can/does make us more ill
Americans Exposed to Atomic Bomb Levels of Radiation through Medical Imaging, CT Scans, Mammograms
A new report released by the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement reveals that Americans' exposure to radiation has increased more than 600 percent over the last three decades. Most of that increase has come from patients' exposure to radiation through medical imaging scans such as CT scans and mammograms.
Most patients have no awareness of the dangers of ionizing radiation due to medical imaging scans. Virtually no patients -- and few doctors -- realize that one CT scan exposes the body to the equivalent of several hundred X-rays (http://www.naturalnews.com/023582.html), for example. Most women undergoing mammograms have no idea that the radiation emitted by mammography machines actually causes cancer by exposing heart and breast tissue to dangerous ionizing radiation that directly causes DNA damage.
Even low doses of radiation can add up to significant increases in lifelong cancer risk. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (2007) found that survivors of the 1945 atomic bombs unleashed on Japan during World War II still faced significant increases in lifetime cancer risk. And the levels of radiation to which these particular study subjects were exposed is equivalent to receiving only two or three CT scans, explains an ABC News story (http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Cancer...).
Yes, it's true: A couple of CT scans can expose your body to as much radiation as standing a few miles from an atomic bomb explosion. This is a simple scientific fact.

I only lasted about 10 minutes in the CT machine before I had a panic attack.
Whew. Reduced radiation.
And I think our healthcare makes us more sick for sure. Or, at least me...because its NOT free, I rarely go get treated - even when I should a lot of the time. So, instead of getting over my sickness quickly without it manifesting real bad and spreading to others, I just tough it out and get the full force of it and probably give it to other people too

Why should that mean it isn't real?

I have heard and read so much about radiation since the japan earth quake. While this is all true, what about the medicines anymore?
You see an ad on tv or radio and it spends most the time explaining "possible" side effect. And then read an ad in a magazine and it is 2 pages long, with a couple cautionary paragraphs of side effects or other warnings.
So say you get a medicine for your stomach problem and then have to worry about what might happen to you from this medicine that cures one problem but opens the door for a shit ton more!?!?!

You post this as if our medical system hasn't improved drastically over the past couple decades.
The fact is, real life isn't an episode of house. Doctors don't have all the answers, they're people too. They make mistakes, unfortunately in their field their mistakes can cost people their lives.

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.

The true sad fact about the medical field itself is that it's all about money. And there is no profit in curing diseases.

That's it in a nutshell.
You can't put a price on someones health, and that's exactly what they are doing here in America. It is a system that is doomed to fail in the long run. There needs to be a public option in our health care system, to make it more economically feasible.
