anyone ever done it? is it illegal? people always seem to get sound legal advice here....
someone is threatening to sue me but i have an email that would destroy his marriage.

Blackmail is illegal, but usually it has more to do with slander and extortion. However, if your saying that your going to tell the world that this Jane or John Doe is cheating on tests if they don't hang out with you then no i don't think that's not illegal. However, it's not at all advisable as it typically never works. You can't force a person to talk to you or hang out with you. It "a" makes you sound possesive and psychotic and "b" doesn't really work because the person will end up fostering negative feelings towards you even if they don't say it to your face. Threatening people with their secrets isn't a good way to go as it can backfire and doesn't accomplish much.

I'm not trying to hang out with the guy, I want him to leave me the fuck alone.
Every couple weeks or so his company sends over a threatening email to me, been going on for four months. It's kinda funny because I know they will not do anything, but I'm getting tired of it also.
Maybe I should just send a warning back, saying i know what he does when hes not with his family.

Well im rather sure threating emails are illegal as well. What have you done to upset them? Also if they're not going to do anything i see no problem.

maybe you should think of a way of saying that "you know about" but in around about way which doesn't directly come off as a thread

You have nothing to worry about if what you say is true. There case wont hold up in cort as long as your employey will comply with what you say. Im not a lawyer or anything. I just got some good common sence. And ive watched enough law and order. haha

Why dont you respond to my posts.  If they do they will notify you. Then make your case to them. But like i said. It wont hold up in court. i doubt you will even need a lawyer.
