So this is my first grow and first step in setting up the framework for a perpetual grow. As I acquire more funds, I will upgrade what needs upgrading (including strains). My grow space is 2x2x4 ft for the flower chamber and 1x2x2.5 ft for veg/clones. I currently have 4 clones in the veg and their mom in flower.
Mother 1: Unknown Strain Skunk/Floral Smell - most noticeable in veg state Approx 3 feet post-stretch Shows predominant Sativa pheno 1 gallon container, adequet drainage Potting soil 10" fan on 15 min/hr/day Germinated: Christmas Eve
Forced flowering (12/12): Feb 1 Switch to 18/6 on Feb 15 Switch to 24 on Feb 16 Watering: When container is light-weight and soil is dry (3-5 days) 0.25 teaspoon 15-30-15 per quart ph'd 6.5 Lighting: (1) 70 watt HPS @ 6000 lumens (3-8 hrs/day- no timer) (4) 26 watt CFL warm white @ 1750 lumens (12/12) Clones taken on Feb 17 from 4 lowest branches Rooting tips handled submerged in cool water Sterilized blade to cut angle Bottom set of side branches pinched and pulled Coated in 0.01% Indole-3-butyric acid, powder Jiffy cubed Humidity dome for 10-12 days Frequent sprays with neutral water Placed in Styrofoam cups 1/5 filled soil
March 4: Clones transplanted to Styrofoam cups filled with soil Watering: 0.25 recommended strength Miracid in neutral water Alternate with 6.5 ph'd water Watering when cups are light-weight and soil dry Approx 5 fl oz for each Lighting: (2) 20 watt CFL daylight @ 1250 lumens (24hrs/day)
Infirmary/Mistakes: *Mother 1 was vegged primarily with ph-blind water, ~7 plus nutes minor heat damage roaches constant threat Odor was controlled using baking soda; however, fan mixed it in soil causing an increase in sodium levels Temporary ph control was initiated using lemon juice from concentrate, increase in sodium levels- dumb, I know *Clones started with signs of nitrogen deficiency, still recovering roaches constant threat
