Dephect's 600w Perpetual SOG

Hello everyone. All the lurkers who view the posts and don't post, and all the peeps who actually post. This is my new grow log. I can say honestly this is inspired by Magash. I love looking at his photos. All though this first run is mixed with different strains I am just seeing how they compare in a SOG set up. I will eventually try and do fixed strain grows just so the canopy can be even.
Again, the tent is 2x4x5. It has a 600w air vented HPS, being vented by a 265cfm Squirrel Cage fan.
Plants are in 1gal grow bags, filled with Ocean Forest and being fed with the FoxFarm Soluble line up (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha Ching) every other watering and being fed with 5ml-8ml FloraNectar (because its that good of a bloom booster) on the alternate waterings.
Current Strains: Purple Kush Golden Goat 3rd Dimension Jack the Ripper Black Cherry Flo Urban Poison AK47 Core Mongrul - New Addition Sweet Kush - New Addition
Current strains in flower 1 x Purple Kush @ 4 weeks 1 x Golden Goat @ 3 weeks 2 x 3rd Dimension @ 3 weeks 4 x 3rd Dimension @ 2 weeks 4 x Golden Goat @ 1 week
Here are the 3D ladies
This Purple Kush cut is a winner This is week 4
The Colorado Clone only super sativa Golden Goat
I am debating on what to throw in next.. Should it be 4 Flo? 4 AK? 4 JTR?
Thanks for tuning in.

Thanks for all the compliments and stay tuned in
I know about node distance and their relativity to cola size.
My vegetative lighting is a 4' 8 Tube T5. Mixed blue red spectrum. But it doesn't really matter because the plants usually go into flowering after 1 week veg coming out of the cloner anyways. The PK and the GG were vegged a bit too long, it shows on the GG right now because she is a 10-11 week girl, and I admit I shoot for a node distance of .5"
Perpetual bud is the reason. Why should I buy when I can harvest constantly. Its small scale at this point with a max of 16 plants, but hopefully soon I will have my own room

By all means. I want people to nit pick the shit out of this. This is my first SOG and I want to know how to improve things, a lot of that will come from personal experience but the some of the personal experience comes from constructive advice.
I admit its not reaching the SOG potential though. My ventilation is ghetto, so my light is stationary if I could move it down by at least 6", I would probably increase yield by 5-10% by shortening node distance.
Also another thing, all though I am really proud of my Purple Kush, vegging too long is showing in the grow bag. I am about half way through flowering and I am almost to the point where I am watering her every day because she is in a 1 gal grow bag and the roots are so full. I guess this is all right however because I can fit more feedings into a week and she is looking fat right now.

lampshadehelmet said: The best I really managed with SOG was four per foot in soil, average 23g plants.
What kind of yields are you getting?
I am just wondering if you would be better suited with one larger plant rather than three smaller ones like you are doing.
AK-47 , 2-3 weeks from harvest.
Don't really know what yields I am getting all though last run I got over a QP.
I just got done with bushes, I am kind of sick of growing plants out it takes too long and I want a quick come around for the time being, I have another log I just got done with and you can see what size I get em. They were vegged for 50 days and were about 2ft tall before going into flowering.
I don't have 3 small plants I have 12 small plants. I'm hoping for 14g per plant, I don't really get high expectations.
Here is my AK @ harvest..

Sweet dude. Was thinking the same thing. Ive had Flo before. I love Sativas and I love when they are short flowering Sativas as well. I also have some Black Cherry clones that have been planted for a good week or so.

All free seeds are friggin excellent
Just a small update on the flowering ladies and some random veg shots. I finally rigged up a decent ventilation system for my tent. I have my temps in my 2x4x5 tent at 69F right now, they have risen to the most @ 75F-76F. I am going to lower the light maybe another inch or so since the heat isn't that bad.
All my ladies are doing great. Getting some Cal/Mag deficiencies on the more mature ladies but it happens.
Here are the pitiful shots of my veg after I purged my garden of all plants and started over in the aero cloner do to a root aphid infestation
Some clones, 3 strains. Top Left: Golden Goat, Top Right: Flo, Bottom Right: Black Cherry
The rest of my genetics I am trying to recover in the cloner. I had some problems and have been pretty much abusing the clones. Note to self; change cloner res after every run. The water begins to become pH unstable after aerating so much and will stay really low in the 3-4 zone.
Mah seeds are shipped too
So I will be popping some seeds within the next week or so
I will post a more detailed update on the flowering ladies in a few days.
