I just got a DroidX 2 days ago. This thing is badass.
I am still trying to figure this phone out. So much stuff!

It's a beautiful thing.
I rooted my previous droid, I wouldn't recommend it.
I basically burnt out the cpu a little. But it was my fault, I ran the thing
at a steady 550 Mhz like all day. It became slow and sluggish after that, and I traded it in for a new one.

I love my droid x, you can use the 3g from it to make the phone a wifi hot spot. I also subscribed to the rss feeds on shroomery and growery news posts so I get all the updates and shit on the news forums . And the camera on this thing is fucking amazing for a phone 8.0 megapixels.

visionary, superuser, terminal emulater, apg, redphone, textsecure, gibber/OtRchat, orbot, firefox, cipherlog, angry birds, dolphin browser, pandora, urban dictionary, xda developers app, rom manager, quadrant standard, music online lite, google sky map, google voice, audio manager, astro
are the apps i currently use
if you have the know how root your phone, or now that i think about it droid x's have a one press root app im pretty sure. then you can install custom roms and tether for free.

This phone is so awesome, I have consolidated my phone with my internet. I now use only my Droid for both. It is as fast as my cable connection ever was. The appz are awsome! Games are cool,even the free ones! I get push to talk capabilities. I love my Droid!!

Yea I fucking love this phone I was sketched out about buying it because of its size and full touch screen but this is the only touchscreen phone that I actually liked,.and the swype texting is amazing. Need an extended battery though even though the battery life isn't too bad considering its a smart phone.
wish I could get 4g on it, which I really don't know much about it but I believe itd just a faster more reliable internet not sure how much better than 3g, hopefully a lot.
Crazy how phones have evolved over the year I read about them coming out with dual core processors, these thing s are gonna pretty much be laptops!

These are the future of communicaion!
We have apples iphone and windows droid. So the question is, who is gonna come out on top? Computer companies or mobile phone companies?
I too was leary To get it because the touch screen and the size. But I love it!
It is truely the fastest phone I have ever owned. And one of the smartest!

Smart phone sales are set to over take the sale or dekstop/laptops combined in the near future. Once the market really shift towards smart phones I predict we will see the iPhone lose a lot of people to cheaper, better operating phones.
