 ROUTER Help!

I was wondering if anyone knew about routers and internet connection kind of stuff. If you do please follow along. I used to have at&t and I had a 2wire modem/router it made my connection very good. I moved and had to go with qwest ISP and they suck or at least the router does, I still have the 2 wire router from atnt. I tried hooking it up and everything was good except dsl was flashing, I plugged regular router back in and DSL was fine. How do I make that router work with a different ISP?

Plug the wire in to the router then to the ATT one. unplug both of them and see how your connection is. if the DSL button is flashing plug it in the att one only, if its not plug it in the regular one. if none of that works smear peanut butter (natural, with the oil on top) all over your lovely lady lumps and try to get a new hobby.

Were both your atnt service and your qwest service regular dsl?

You also may want reconfigure your modem. Did you set up your atnt connection?

I'm assuming they were regular, I didn't order anything special.
How can I reconfigure the 2wire if I can only get online with the qwest router?

You can access your modem setup through your browser. You usually put your local host address(sometimes differs from brand to brand) in the url bar, then it asks for username and password, default also differing from brand to brand, but if you set your att up you would know that. You can get all this information from the original box your router came with, or off the net, you just need to know your 2wire model.

run->cmd->ipconfig
Take your default gateway and throw that bitch into the browser with an http:// in front of it.
Probably will need to log in, if you don't know how, try Admin with no password first, then Admin with password Admin.
Then you can go in and fuck with shit until it works. Make sure the router isn't set to log-in to your old ISP or that it isn't trying to use an old static IP or some bullshit. If you can't get shit to happen still try restoring it to default.
If I was only born a few years earlier and in India I could have been a tech support bro.
