i was born and raised in texas. i've lived all across the US. right now i call atlanta my home.
i appreciate america for the things that its given me. an opportunity to make my own life. a relatively safe place to call home.
but theres many things i dont like. the government, and our freedoms being slowly raped from us.
do i call myself an american? sure - based off location.
but i am more then that.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

We were all taught to love our country as kids. So imagine my anger when I grew up and realized that for the past century this nation has been raped by greed fucks and political fascist.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion there, but I was stressing America because that was the topic of the thread.
I will contest that we ARE committing genocide, though. If you look at all of the shit the American government did to the Native Americans and how poorly they stand today I think there is certainly a case of ethnic cleansing there.

Far Stox said: The Olympics is a prime example of how each nation is trying to beat everyone else, which leads to the "Us v. Them" nonsense.
The Olympics are generally used as a venue to validate these distinctions, not where these distinctions are formed.
It's like the medal races between the Soviet Union and the US, back in the early 80's. Where the animosity wasn't over the actual event, but the fact that the event was seen as proof that one of these, mutually exclusive forms of social organization, was superior to the other.
But the underlying point is that each nation was trying to prove its superiority to the other. Luckily they were just going at it in competitive sports rather than with their massive nuclear stockpiles.

Committing? When was the last time you read about an Indian massacre?

Yes, because each group adopted forms of social organization that were inherently opposed to each other, and not because they were huge fans of volleyball.

I was born in Seattle, and have lived most of my life in California, but I still consider myself just Russian and a quarter Greek. I don't really feel like just being born in America, should make me a Russian American or any of that bullshit. My parents had me born in America so I'd get certain legal rights/privileges, nothing more, nothing less
