Light cycle has been broken

So I woke up to the electricity being off today. I'm a day short of the end of my 5th week of flowering. I know that light leaks will ruin the light cycle during the dark hours, so I assume that lights going off during the light hours and then coming back on is the same thing?
So is there any reason to keep the ladies going, or should I just count my losses and restart?
Thanks

Keep going. Light cycle stress can produce hermies, but one time won't necessarily ruin your crop. Just keep an eye out for nanners throughout the rest of the flowering cycle and you'll be fine.

Kay thanks.
I pollinated a few of the buds to make seeds. Should I consider the seeds that get produced bad, or might they be okay to use?
I can't believe that my city enforced rolling blackouts! There is no snow, ice, sleet, or even rain... Nothing! Just cold weather. WTF They say this could happen all week long. I'm so fucking mad.

Seeds should be fine too, don't stress, just keep an eye on them until harvest.

With the flowers getting more dense by the day, It's seems it will be hard to find sacs. Are there any certain areas to focus in on, like lower branches? I don't want to disturb my flowers with a lot of touching.
With the chance of this happening again today, I added a small LED flashlight/lantern with a foil reflector in the cab. It's not much at all, but I figure some continual light is better than none at all.
Thanks

I am having similar issues. It is so cold that I have to turn down my gas furnace. not very logical but due to the weather they are asking everyone to concerve as much as possible. My temps have dropped way down and I am concerned with how low they are getting. its arizona and southern az at that it shouldn't be getting down to 10 degrees F. rediculous. good luck man.

LOL I will agree I grew up in the north. but have been here for 6 years. people down here freak out when it gets below 40. I lived in MN for two years and grew up in MT. I know cold. Just not used to it any more. The whole country has been freaking out the past couple days. Sorry got off topic a bit there.

muse,
You are incorrect that a light cycle disruption will mess up your plants. The only way a light cycle can be detrimental is if you interrupt the dark period. The dark periods are how a plant determines what hormones to produce. If your 12 hour OFF cycle is interrupted by light, you should start worrying about plant stress. If your lights go off for a full 24 hours, you don't need to worry as much. You do, however, need to know that you're starving your plant when you do this, so try to get it back on a 12/12 as soon as possible.
Remember, it is the extended DARK period that triggers flowering.
