I was gonna do something like this too!
McKenna is a god!
We need to make a timewave zero thread... Who thinks mass virus which accelerates DMT production?
LONG LIVE AND LOVE THE BARD!
RIP McKenna. You are on the back of my eyelids buddy.

Some of his ideas are interesting, but way too pseudoscience for my personal tastes.
But with that said, this video was the tits back in the 90's

I've got tons of his lectures on my mp3 player.
even his zany off the wall theories are so well verbalized that he gives credit to the ideas. believable or not you are given something to think long and hard about.

I remember the first time I heard McKenna...
I was still in HS and I was over a friends house playing hacky sack or something. Someone had popped MuDvAyNe's LD-50 into the CD player the first track "Monolith" has a brief clip of McKenna saying
Quote:
we are an ape with a symbiotic relationship to a mushroom, and that has given us self reflection, language, religion and all the spectrum of effects that flow from these things.
I immediately agreed with that idea but it wasn't until years later when I got into psychedelics that I learned who Terrence McKenna was and how deeply his ideas go.
